Goodwill Technical College Receives Entergy Charitable Foundation Grant

Goodwill Technical College is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Entergy Charitable Foundation to support its Empowering Career Pathways 2 project. Empowering Career Pathways 2 will continue to build on the success of the previous project by providing participants with the opportunity to receive skills training in Phlebotomy or Computer User Support (IT Support) and cover the costs of the associated industry-based certification exams. Industry certifications include CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+, and/or NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician, depending on the participant’s career pathway. Goodwill Technical College will continue to provide academic and career counseling and job placement assistance for program participants. Additional supportive services, including transportation and childcare assistance, will also be provided for qualified participants. Goodwill Technical College and Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc. extends its sincere appreciation to the Entergy Charitable Foundation for its generosity and dedication to empowering students and strengthening communities through education.
