Representative from The Blood Center at 2026 GTC Career Fair
The Spring Career Fair held on March 9, 2026 brought together students, alumni, and employers from a variety of industries for a day focused on networking, career exploration, and employment opportunities. Throughout the event, attendees had the chance to meet directly with hiring managers and recruiters, learn about open positions, and gain insight into the skills and qualifications employers are seeking. The college would like to thank the representatives from Acadian Ambulance Services, Bollinger Shipyards, LCMC, Hilton, Tulane University, Volunteers of America, EXCELth, and The Blood Center for participating.
Attendees arrived prepared with resumes and questions, eager to make connections and learn more about potential career options. For some, the event provided their first opportunity to speak directly with employers in their field of interest, while others explored internships and job opportunities that could help launch their careers. Employers also expressed appreciation for the chance to connect with motivated students and alumni who are preparing to enter the workforce. Christie Mosby, Career Specialist at Goodwill Technical College shared: "Events like this help strengthen partnerships between the college and local employers. Plus, giving students the opportunity to engage with employers is an important part of helping them transition from the classroom to the workforce."
Christie also noted that the Career Fair is just one of several initiatives designed to support students in achieving their professional goals, and the college looks forward to continuing to connect students with employers through future events and partnerships.
